Sitting around trying to put together a list of things that inspire.

The easiest thing would be to say music, film or whatever else comes to mind when someone asks "What inspires you?"

It's harder to answer because I want to say it all inspires me.

Everything I see, no matter how amazing or amazingly stupid can spark something. The more I think about it though, there’s one essential trait that makes that possible: curiosity.

It’s one thing I always was, and something I took to heart over the years when teachers would express variations on that sentiment. They felt that you should always continue to learn for the rest of your life, because the minute you thought you knew it all, you were done. For them, graduation was just the start of the learning.

And you can’t learn if you’re not curious about things. It’s what lets you ask questions that go beyond the expected. It’s what lets you remain open to wherever the process takes you. It’s asking “What if?” instead of saying “We can’t.”

No curiosity, no inspiration.
